Mercier Orchards is one of the largest farms in North Georgia, spanning 300 acres. Apple picking takes center-stage at Mercier, where treats like fried apple pies and hard cider showcase the local harvest. October brings the premiere of the pumpkin patch, where you can hand-select the perfect pumpkin for your seasonal festivities, decor, or culinary delights. The farm has been a Blue Ridge icon since 1943, also offering fresh strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, peaches, plums, and nectarines.

B.J. Reece Orchards is a family-owned and operated U-pick farm and apple orchard offering hay rides, train rides, farm tours, pony rides, and corn maze with plenty of resident wildlife to visit from August through November. It's a great site for family fun and farm-fresh, made-from-scratch bakery items like apple cider donuts, apple breads, and an array of pies. Explore 120 acres of apples, 30 acres of peaches, and 30 acres of a variety of vegetables.

Just an hour north of Atlanta, Yahoo Farm is a great stop on your North Georgia journey! Featuring a Pumpkin Hunt every Sunday during the fall season, Yahoo Farm is a favorite with the youngsters, and admission is free for guests under the age of 8. The Pumpkin Bunny will be on hand to greet the children and lead them in the hunt, and as a thank you for helping to round up the missing pumpkins, every child gets to keep the pumpkin they find. After the hunt, stay for a picnic lunch, and enjoy the farm atmosphere!
