The covered gem mining area means you can try your hand at panning for gems no matter the weather. Children will be thrilled when they wash away the dirt and uncover shining gemstones and colorful rocks.

The gem mining system at Lilly Pad Village guarantees that every guest will be rewarded with beautiful gemstones. Every experience is unique, but you may uncover incredible stones and crystals such as emerald, sapphire, ruby, garnet, amethyst, quartz, tiger eye, and moonstone.

Miniature Golf

The miniature golf area is a great activity that will keep everyone thoroughly entertained. For only $8 per person (children four and under are free), you have unlimited plays. You can spend your entire day playing mini golf if you wish!

Fishing

Try your hand at fishing at the Lilly Pad fishing pod, a -acre pond stocked with catfish, bass, and brim. This catch-and-release fishing opportunity is excellent for kids, beginners, or experienced anglers who want to spend their day fishing in the gorgeous mountains of North Georgia.

The comfortable dock is a great place to sit while you wait for a bite. Tickets for a full day of fishing are $10 per person, and you can bring your own fishing rod and bait, or you rent them on location.

When to Visit Lilly Pad Village

Lilly Pad Village is open from 11 am-4 pm every day year-round, although on particularly cold days where temps have been below freezing, it isn’t possible to operate the pumps on the property. If visiting in winter, it is best to call ahead to see if they are able to operate.

Springtime in North Georgia can be rainy, but the covered gem mining area means you can still enjoy Lilly Pad Village in the rain! On nice days you will be amazed by the wildflowers covering the property.

Summer at Lilly Pad Village means limitless opportunities. Long, warm days full of sunshine and laughter await you. Bask in the sun as you cast a line at the fishing pond, and then cool down with some ice cream from the gift shop. The mini golf course is tucked away in the forest and offers shade from the heat of the afternoon.

Autumn in North Georgia is simply magical. The vivid fall foliage lights up the mountains as far as the eye can see and makes you feel like you’re in a fairytale. Hiking

The hiking opportunities in the Blue Ridge Mountains are endless. The owners of Lilly Pad Village will be happy to recommend some hiking trails that you will enjoy, such as the nearby Flat Creek Loop, a six-mile stroll that offers beautiful views and is suitable for all fitness levels.

For a more strenuous hike, consider the Amicalola Falls hike outside of Dawsonville, GA, about 45 minutes south of Blue Ridge. The climb can be challenging, but you are rewarded with a jaw-dropping view of the 729-foot Amicalola Falls.

The
is a great option for families with young children. Located just a few miles from Lilly Pad Village, the hike is 0.2 miles long and provides beautiful views at the waterfall. It is slightly uphill, but since it is such a short distance, it is still a very easy hike that packs a big punch as far as scenery goes.

Water Activities

The 13.8-mile float section of the Toccoa River is just south of Blue Ridge and is an excellent location for canoeing, kayaking, rafting, or fishing. With endless stunning scenery and a few fun rapids, a trip down the Toccoa is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon.

The put-in is located at the Deep Hole recreation area, just off Highway 60, and the take-out is at Sandy Bottom Canoe Take Out. There are outfitters in Blue Ridge that can help you with a shuttle, as well as renting river equipment if needed.

Tubing is also possible on the Upper Toccoa, above the Lake Blue Ridge Dam, and is a great way to spend the day relaxing on the water. Talk to a local outfitter about renting tubing equipment.
