If you're looking for the perfect location and want to be right up on the river, then look no further. Cartecay Canoe House was so clean and the perfect getaway for my wife and I. It was such a peaceful, relaxing time with each other. We had the opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of our daily life. Oh, and the hot tub was already up to temperature when we arrived so we just got right in and instantly melted into relaxation mode!

If you are looking for a quiet area that has a nice view for a little getaway this is a great place! We went for the weekend to get away and just enjoy each others company and it was perfect! We would definitely stay here again.

Loved our weekend getaway and would definitely come back again. The house itself was perfect on the river, and very cozy. Beautiful cabin interior and great window overlooking the water. I will say, you can't see it from the pics, but there are houses very close on both sides. Would have preferred a little more privacy. The management company was very quick to respond when the wifi was down, and they sent someone to fix it asap. thanks for a lovely weekend

Everyone was quite helpful.

We enjoyed everything about it except the parking situation, especially when we had to park on the upper area. Aside from that, Cartecay Canoe House was wonderful! Very nicely decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub. The view of the river cannot be beat.

People can get to the cabins without printing the directions if they use Waze! It took us right there as we got a little lost.

loved it completely! Very clean, peaceful and romantic. I do think the cartecay cabin should have blinds on the front door and living room windows as an option to close if wanted. Most definitely will be back!!

When you want/need to change something like the check-in time, call and discuss it, just dont send an email. Had we not had another cabin to go hang out in, we would have been very upset.

We had a very nice stay in the canoe house. It was quite, clean, and a beautiful view. i will definately be coming back.

We had minor problems finding the place with the given directions and were given the wrong gate code to get in. So after about 45minutes, we did finally find the right gate and get access. We were quite disappointed to find that the driveway to the cabin, doesn't go down to the cabin. We didn't know this up front. There is a long stairway case that you have to go up and down. So that was a big downer. The driveway to park is very narrow and steep. So don't go down unless you have 4wd. Upon the inconvenience , when we called the rental place, they were very nice and understanding of the situation and offered to move us to another cabin. However, despite the aggravation, we decided to stay because the river access and view made up for everything. Pictures don't do justice, the view from the cabin windows were perfect. Very clean and organized cabin. Everything inside and outside was easy to find. We had plenty of towels and necessities for the bathroom, kitchen and laundry. We stayed 4 days and had a wonderful time. Location is far enough in the woods that you truly feel In The Woods. Location isn't far from downtown Ellijay. 5 miles at the most so driving back and forth to the areas were perfect. The hot tub was very nice and clean- though you may want to open it and let it air out some due to the fume smells from the chlorine. The rental agency even called us throughout our stay to check on us and make sure we were happy and had all we needed. Big plus! We felt like we were wanted and that they cared that we enjoyed our stay and we did! I highly recommend Blue Sky Cabin Rentals to anyone wanting that perfect vacation or weekend get away. We felt we were at home even though we were away from home. It's worth your time and money. I promise. We will for sure be staying at another cabin in the near future
