Description
The phrase a stone's throw" truly describes this cabin in the woods. Located directly on Fightingtown Creek, which is known for its stocked trout fishing, you could throw out a line from the back porch and reel one in. If you're feeling adventurous, dive right in. You can hopscotch the large rocks up and down the creek or wade in the water. Hiking is also great at this little getaway; the Benton-MacKaye Trail (a feeder of the Appalachian Trail) is within walking distance of your front door. So, grab a hiking stick and explore! If you're not up for an adventure, you can always spend the day relaxing with a good book or lounging in the hot tub overlooking the creek.
Amenities
Hemlock Creek is a beautiful 1 bedroom, 2 bath cabin that sleeps two (2) and offers the following:
Fully equipped kitchen: Refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, glassware, utensils, cutlery, pots, and pans. Linens for each bed, 2-bath towels, 1-hand towel, 1-washcloth per person listed on guest list, dresser or closet for clothing storage, central heat & air, washer/dryer, vacuum and/or broom and dustpan, mop, internet, and propane gas grill. In addition, we provide a complimentary start-up supply of Toilet Tissue (1 roll per bathroom), 1- roll paper towels, 4- kitchen garbage bags, dishwasher detergent, dishwashing liquid and laundry detergent for at least 2 loads. Many of our cabins include more than this basic list of inventory items. The only items you'll need to bring will be food, beverages, and condiments.
Required Fees include $105 Cleaning fee, $65 Damage Protection Waiver, processing fee, guest service fee, and 13% lodging tax

This was our second stay at Hemlock Creek. I would say it's a home away from home but it's so much better. All the amenities you need are in the cabin, and it's right on a noisy stream. There is a hot tub and propane grill outside and plenty provided to do inside with a foosball table, DVD's, WIFI, and board games. The staff at Blue Sky are very attentive and friendly.

We were looking for a long weekend getaway in the mountains and our Blue Sky Cabin didn't disappoint! The home was perfectly nestled along a small creek with beautiful views from the wrap around porch. We were far enough to enjoy the natural elements of the area but close enough to get to town for anything we needed. The inside of the home was perfect, full kitchen, very cozy and most of all clean! We really loved being able to bring our dogs on vacation and were so pleased that the pet friendly cabins didn't lack in style, amenities or comfort. We would highly recommend working with Blue Sky Cabins and definitely recommend the cabin we stayed in for the weekend!

The pictures on your site don't do this cabin justice. It was way better than what we expected. The cabin was easy to find with your directions and very clean. We had a very awesome vacation and can't wait for the next one! The staff we dealt with were very friendly and gave us lots of info prior to our trip. It's not easy to find pet friendly cabins for two big dogs so that was my favorite part.

This getaway was just what we needed! The cabin was perfect! The setting could not have been more beautiful! You are seriously RIGHT on the water. The hot tub is perfectly located for privacy and romance near the water. The bedroom was located upstairs in the loft which we weren't aware of before hand, but it was fine. But be warned... the stairs getting up there are a little skinny and narrow and steep. Peace and quiet is what we got here! Blue Ridge and Ellijay are just a short trip from this cabin for any dining or shopping needs. We did try to make a fire in the fireplace one night with no success but that didn't damper the weekend either. We will definitely be going back!

My girlfriend and I rented the Hemlock Creek Cabin for the weekend of 1/22/16-1/24/16 and we absolutely loved every minute of it! It snowed most of the weekend and Cynthia in the office called the day before and told us to check in early to the cabin so we could avoid driving in the snow and ice when the storm was to hit that afternoon of check in. We thought that was very thoughtful and accommodating of them to do that for us. Everything about the cabin exceeded our expectations and we definitely will be staying there again!
