The Cantaberry Restaurant now has two locations. Historic Downtown Ellijay and Blue Ridge Georgia. The Restaurants are owned by Case and Jessica Bruner, since 2008, they are originally from Athens, Georgia. They are married with two Children Matthew and Mason. Chef Case studied Culinary Arts in Charleston, South Carolina at Johnson and Wales University. Our restaurant specializes in Homemade Soups, Gourmet Sandwiches, and Fresh Salads, and features delicious desserts. The Sweet Shoppe was founded on FAITH by friends Nikki Gribble and Susan Catron! A chance encounter landed the two Georgia girls in a long conversation about the passion they both shared for being in the kitchen. With Nikki growing up in her grandmother’s kitchen making chocolate candies with all the women of the family, and Susan baking homemade cakes and frostings alongside her mother, spurred each to pursue their dream of one day owning a shop where others could enjoy their God-given talents of baking.
Cherry Log, GA
The building now known as the Pink Pig was originally built around 1950 for a country store and gristmill. It was Pink Pig Cherry Log purchased by the Holloway’s in 1967. Pit cooked B-B-Q with Bud’s special sauce and homemade Brunswick Stew cooked in an iron pot has made this unique place known far and wide. It has been said that the Pink Pig is to North Georgia what the Varsity is to Atlanta. Located between Ellijay and Blue Ridge just off Hwy 515 on the old party of Hwy 5. It is conveniently located to the many who come to enjoy. Ask any local where to eat and they will give you directions to the Pink Pig. The fried chicken and onion rings are almost as well known as the garlic salad made with the “secret recipe”. All food is prepared to order so be prepared to wait for your fresh hamburger or steak to cook. Fresh cut Bud’s Spuds are cooked to order from “real” potatoes. The iced tea is rumored to be the best iced tea in the world according to former Governor Zell Miller and radio talk show host Ludlow Porch.
Taccoa Riverside Restaurant

It started as a dream: Living in the mountains, serving great food in a spectacular riverside setting… Toccoa Riverside Restaurant. In 1992 a location was selected along the scenic Toccoa River in the north Georgia mountains with a dining experience of really great food in a beautiful place. Maybe even some live bluegrass music on weekends in a rustic, peaceful setting. Soon the dream became a reality and Toccoa Riverside Restaurant opened to great fanfare by locals and visitors alike. Over almost 20 years we have hosted thousands of folks who came for the great food, peaceful riverside setting and just plain family fun. In fact, Toccoa Riverside Restaurant became a legendary ‘must do’ on many visitors’ vacation activities lists. On February 13, 2012, a tragic night time fire swept through the restaurant, burning it to the ground. Thankfully nobody was hurt, but we had to start over. With a vision to make the Toccoa Riverside Restaurant even better than ever, on February 8, 2013 the doors opened to an all new dining experience along the banks of the Toccoa River!
Back Porch Bistro
Back Porch Bistro is the “hidden gem” in downtown Ellijay. Located at the rear of the North Star Emporium, and with an entrance from the rear onto our spacious outside deck. We feature hand made sandwiches, paninis, homemade soups, vegetarian options and gluten free as well. All our sides, soups and desserts are homemade by Tami herself. One taste and you are assured it is homemade not called homemade. We also have pulled pork burritos and bowls, cuban sandwiches and bean and rice burritos and bowls as well. Chester’s Bar and Grill
Blue Ridge, GA
Chester Brunnenmeyer’s Bar and Grill is owned and operated by Chester’s grandson, Stuart Arp and Stacy Heath. Chester’s parents, John and Lena, owned and operated a saloon in the small town of Washington, IL, from 1896 until 1906, when the town went dry. They then turned the business into Brunnenmeyer’s grocery store, where Chester delivered groceries for many years. In 1944 Chester inherited the building and transformed it into a tavern called The Spot, where on October 5, 1952, his daughter, Mary Brunnenmeyer, and her new husband, Harlan K. Arp, had their wedding reception. Chester operated The Spot until he sold the building shortly after Mary and Harlan’s wedding.
