Our family of six needed a change of scenery for Winter Break. It has been the perfect change of pace and setting for our family. We had a great, relaxing time. We were looking for a place to hide away from work, family and the world and Blue Ridge Retreat filled the bill. We only turned on the TV one evening to watch a movie. Spent hours staring into the fire and feeling our heart rates go down.

It was our first air BandB rental. We had a great first experience!! The cabin is a brand new build on a 1.5-acre lot. There are no direct neighbors (the lot next to it is empty). There are other cabins across the river. Rentals are run by a professional agency. Very cozy and spotless. The kitchen was well equipped with all essentials - just bring your food to cook breakfast, lunch, or dinner. There is also a gas grill outside. Luxury white towels (2 sets per person) and bedsheets were provided. The access is by gravel road but it was easy to drive on - no worries any car will get there :) We had a good time in the middle of cold February. Blue Ridge Lake Marina and the town center is just a short ride. Ingles supermarket offers a wide variety of groceries.
